Personal projects

Four tools we built for problems of our own. Each page shows how it works and what it could do in a business like yours.

Personal project · Housing

Prototype

Housing Decision Engine.

The problem

Comparing homes by rent alone hides what a place costs every month in travel and time.

What we built

A tool that turns an address into one monthly cost: rent plus food, the trip to work, car or transit, and the gym.

8homes compared with it, July 2026
3,807trips timed on foot, by car and by transit

Source: project database, counts of 22 Oct 2026

BecomesFor real-estate agencies, staff relocation or choosing where to open: each option with its real monthly cost.

Personal project · Watch and phone data

Prototype

Wearable Data Hub.

The problem

Activity data sits in apps that won’t let you keep it, combine it or look back over it.

What we built

Every morning it copies the watch’s new workouts into one place, adds the phone’s health data when you import it, and refreshes a dashboard.

BecomesFor a business whose numbers sit in several apps: copied every day into one place, with one dashboard.

Personal project · AI agents

Prototype

Plan · Monitor · Coach.

The problem

A plan is easy to write and hard to keep. Nothing watches how it is going, and nobody adjusts it.

What we built

Three AI agents: one makes the plan, one watches how it is going, one supports the person. They pass each other notes, and old notes disappear on their own.

BecomesFor a training studio keeping clients on their plan, or a wholesaler that wants to know which customers stopped ordering.

Personal project · Screening

Prototype

Opportunity Triage.

The problem

Hundreds of listings, a handful worth reading, and no record of why the rest were dropped.

What we built

It gathers listings from several sites, sets aside the ones that break your rules, with the reason, ranks the rest and drafts documents from text you approved.

655listings collected in two runs, Mar and Apr 2026
554set aside, each with its reason on record

BecomesFor sorting job applicants or sales leads, and drafting proposals from text you have approved.
